Following your Dream… We welcome Raja Khoury from the USA in our Paradetect Team. Raja had a dream since he was a child, his dream was to play guitar especially flamenco.
When he reached the age of 13, he bought his first guitar to follow that dream. He started playing guitar and learned it by himself. People loved him, loved his style and sincerity.
At the age of 25, Raja decided to explore the world and share his passion. He migrated to United States and became one of the famous flamenco authors and gipsy guitar players.
Raja has 5 music CDs and his music was played in many occasions like documentaries, TV commercials, Arts Openings for famous artists, Museum Openings, fund raising and many other events.
He played in Concert Halls Tyson Stadium which held 5000 seats.
Many newspapers and magazines wrote about him and his inspiring music. Raja was hosted by Jones TV “Front Row” and Community Access Television (C.A.T.) which covered all the festivals he participated in, such as Freedom Festival, Art Festival, Goddess Festival, Fire Fly Festival, Spring Festival, Autumn Festival, etc…
He is the winner of Ozark Music Awards for “Best Acoustical Instrument Player” in 2002.
He got nominated for NAMA Awards as:
– “Best World Music” in 2010.
– “Best Bond” in 2009.
– “Best None of the Above Categories” in 2008.
Raja has his own unique style; he can change the mode and make his healing music fits in any occasion. There is a sensual passionate bond between him and his guitar that makes him play different type of music depending on the moods and occasions as he has the capability to make people rejoice, cry and live the story of each played tone through his guitar.
