Life is a Challenge

Our Life is a Challenge. We face challenges almost every day in our daily life, at home, at work, with family and friends.

After finishing my Ascent Course and after all the excitement and achievements i have achieved, now it is quite, stable and hard to remain on the same right track i have decided to go through…

I think we all have this issue to continue to do a new habit continuously for a long time specially if its life changing. You know when you decide to go for a diet to lose weight or to exercise, at the beginning you feel so excited happy and you lose a lot of weight once you start, then as time goes by the excitement goes down. Unintentionally you start to lose interest and find the issue so difficult, you get those sounds in your head telling you to stop and you can do it later and it’s not important today, you have time, you don’t need to stress yourself… right?

And this always happens if you took a positive initiative towards life changing and self-improvement…

That’s why you find it easier to do these initiatives with someone, a friend or a family member to encourage you and give you a push and keep you going forward on the right track.

I am facing ‘My Biggest Challenge’ now… After my Ascent Course, lots of things have changed and are still changing in my life. The way i think, the way i react, the way i do everything is changing to the better (details were previously mentioned in my article ‘Born Again’). However, maintaining this change and even seeking more achievements is challenging. Sometimes i feel down, alone in my thoughts, walking against the tide, maybe i am the person who needs continuous encouragement, continuous appreciation and need to be around people with the same interests and path…

I know that’s not always happening… Sometimes you are around people who are lovely and a bless from God, yet they are different… Shall i call that the Good Fight!

I am reading a book for Paulo Coelho called the ‘Pilgrimage’, in his book there’s a part where he said that Jesus didn’t choose to go on the mountains or stay alone, he rather stayed with people to mentor them and guide them to the right path. What i want to say or actually what i say to myself is that i have to adapt with all kind of people, learn from them, hear their stories and experiences without judging them, accept them; out there something will be sent to me through people to teach me something.

Everyday i am in a challenge… A couple of days ago i was on a parent’s meeting with one of my son’s teachers, i wasn’t happy with lots of issues, i was meeting her to discuss the same and WOW… I wanted to actually clap for myself, BRAVO Jilan, the way the meeting went wasn’t smooth at all, yet so Calm. The teacher wasn’t helpful and didn’t like the issues i mentioned that didn’t satisfy me as a parent, and i wasn’t obviously happy with what she was trying to convince me with; but the way i was talking, the way i was expressing my point of views gradually the self and anger control, my body language i was maintaining was amazing in comparison to the OLD me… A HUGE CHANGE… Before, my body language can clearly show that I’m so tensed, i couldn’t talk slowly, i talked so fast and not clear and i would in such a conversation or a similar situation start bursting into tears… I’m feeling successful, Thank God.

So yea… That’s what i wanted to share with all of you. I would love to read your comments or maybe read similar articles…

Waiting for you…

Bless you all

Jilan Elkady
